Engineering profile

I'm Jaafar Yazbik, a Master's student in Advanced Mechatronics at Polytech Annecy-Chambéry in France. My work sits where mechanical design, electronics and software meet: I model the mechanism, wire and program the hardware, and write the ROS 2 software that makes the parts behave as one system.

Most projects start in simulation (Gazebo, Webots) so that control and navigation can be validated before hardware is involved, and each one is documented in its repository. Recent work covers an autonomous robot for Eurobot 2026, LiDAR SLAM exploration on a mecanum base, a quadcopter flight controller and CAD2URDF, a tool that turns CAD assemblies into ROS 2 robot models.
